Bulk Data Upload in CAMS Web

Overview

This article explains how to upload asset and inspection data in bulk using the Bulk Data Upload function in CAMS Web. Bulk uploads are useful when entering new records or updating existing data at scale, especially at the Base Level.

Accessing Bulk Upload

  1. Select a hierarchy level from the left-hand menu (typically Base Level).

  2. Click on Bulk Data Upload.

Uploading Your Data

  1. Click Upload to begin.

  2. Use the provided CSV template to prepare your data.

    • Ensure columns match the system format.

    • Any extra fields will be ignored.

  3. Include both new records and any updates to existing records in the file.

  4. Upload the completed file.

Once submitted, the system will process the file as a backend job. This allows you to continue using CAMS while the upload completes.

If the file contains existing records, those entries will be updated.
If it includes new records, they will be added to the system.

Important Notes

  • Bulk upload is available for Base Level only.

  • Extra fields not recognised by the system will be ignored.

  • Uploads are validated before processing. Errors will be flagged for review.
