Getting Started with CAMS Web

Overview

This guide helps new users start using CAMS Web confidently. It includes instructions on logging in, updating your profile, navigating the dashboard, managing data, and understanding modules. A brief section is also provided for CAMS Mobile users.

Accessing CAMS Web

Logging In

To access CAMS Web, go to stage.cams.assethub.com.au and enter your login credentials.

If you're a new user, you’ll receive an email invitation from your administrator. Follow the instructions in that email to activate your account and set your password.

Tip: For a full walkthrough, see: Setting Up an Account in CAMS

If your organisation uses Single Sign-On (SSO), log in using your company’s authentication process.

Note: For help with SSO setup, see: Setting Up an SSO User Account in CAMS

If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the login screen and follow the reset steps.

Tip: For recovery help, see: Forgot your password?

Updating Your Profile and Password

Click the Profile icon (person silhouette) in the top-right corner of CAMS Web. From the dropdown, select Profile.

On the Profile page:

  • Update your First Name and Last Name in the left panel

  • Change your password in the right panel by entering your Current Password, then your New Password and Confirm Password

Click Save in each section when you're done.

To learn more about updating your personal details or password, see: Managing Your CAMS Profile

Navigating the Dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on the dashboard. The left-hand menu gives you access to CAMS features:

  • Hierarchy: View, add, edit, or download data

  • Reports: Generate graphs, tables, and charts

  • Predictive Modelling: Upload LoS data and view lifecycle projections

  • Configuration (Admins only): Manage levels, fields, charts, and reports

Tip: Use the Quick Links panel for faster access to common actions like data upload and reporting.

For full guidance on importing and editing data, see: Working with Data in CAMS Web

Viewing Reports

The Reports section allows you to generate summaries and visualisations of your asset data, including bar charts, pie graphs, and exportable tables. You can customise your reports using available fields and filters.

To learn more, see: Generating and Downloading Reports

Lifecycle Modelling (LoS)

CAMS Web supports Lifecycle Modelling, allowing you to run predictive analysis using Loss of Service (LoS) curves. This helps anticipate asset degradation and plan maintenance or replacements over time.

For more details, see: Using Lifecycle Modelling in CAMS

Configuration (Admins Only)

The Configuration section is available to administrators and controls key setup elements for CAMS. From here, you can create or modify:

  • Asset levels and hierarchy

  • Field types and layout preferences

  • Custom charts and reports

To get started with admin setup, see: Configuration Overview for CAMS Web

Understanding Modules

Each module represents a category of assets. These appear as tiles on your dashboard. Click on a module to view and manage its contents.

Tip: You will only see modules relevant to your organisation’s CAMS configuration.

To explore how modules are used to manage asset types, see: Using Asset Modules in CAMS Web

CAMS Mobile Application

CAMS Mobile allows inspectors to complete tasks and capture data in the field.

To get started with the mobile app, see: Getting Started with CAMS Mobile
